Challenge
The cannabis industry remains predominantly men-led, with women facing barriers like leadership representation, access to funding, entrepreneurship challenges, and limited networking opportunities, which restrict their ability to secure mentorship, form partnerships, and grow their businesses. While progress has been made, gender parity remains a significant hurdle. This imbalance limits the industry’s innovation, inclusivity, and long-term sustainability. There was a clear need for a platform that amplifies the voices of women in cannabis, fosters meaningful connections, and drives industry-wide change.
Solution
Marigold PR recognized this challenge and launched Radicle Femmes, a platform and event series dedicated to empowering, celebrating, and advancing women in the cannabis industry. The second annual Radicle Femmes International Women’s Day Event took place on March 6, 2025, in Toronto, ON, bringing together influential women and allies to foster community, inspire change, and create business opportunities.
To maximize impact, Marigold PR executed a multi-faceted campaign that included:
- Event Management: Full logistics coordination, including venue and hospitality management, sponsorship acquisition, speaker curation, ticketing, and attendee experience enhancements.
- Media & Influencer Relations: A targeted press release, strategic media partnerships, and influencer collaborations to amplify reach and engagement.
- Community Engagement: Leveraged an extensive cannabis industry network through social media, e-newsletters, and B2B marketing strategies to drive awareness and attendance.
- Thought Leadership & Data: Curated panel discussions featuring industry leaders, providing data-driven insights on women in cannabis and creating a space for meaningful dialogue.
