Hand crafted in Edmonton – Oak and Earth Creations produces unique and sustainable cannabis accessories. Marigold was tasked with developing and executing a launch event and garnering media attention during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Constantly changing restrictions, safety considerations and COVID-19 dominated media coverage meant a nimble plan was needed that would generate buzz while being adaptable to keep everyone safe.
Building off the Oak and Earth Launch press release, Marigold PR developed and directly pitched a highly targeted list of key journalists in the Cannabis, sustainability and lifestyle fields in Canada as well as local Edmonton Media. Along with the Oak and Earth team Marigold also developed a scalable, COVID-19 friendly media launch event that could adjust to suit fast changing regulations whilst delivering a safe and engaging brand experience.
The Oak and Earth launch garnered 4.7 Million impressions including print and digital coverage from Cannabis Prospect Magazine and Cannabis Retailer, a digital Canndora feature, featured as one of NUVO Magazine ‘s 9 Design-Forward Cannabis Accessory Brands, as well as a webinar feature at the New Heights Cannabis Tourism event to profile their production facility and paint night offerings. The COVID-friendly, invite-only paint night launch event was a hit with attendees and media who were able to design their own smokeware while learning about Oak and Earth.
